▪    Representing the Ministry of the Interior in the Saeima (The Parliament of Latvia)
▪    Representing the Ministry of the Interior and the Minister during political debates
▪    Drawing up political documents (government declaration, conceptions etc.)
▪    Representing the Minister for the Interior within international organisations (UN, INTERPOL, CEPOL etc.)
▪    Developing home affairs legislation
