On Wednesday, September 2, after chasing in Rucava region, the border guard stopped a Volkswagen Golf car and stopped the alcoholic driver's further participation in road traffic.
Yesterday, in Rucava parish, the senior inspector of the Kurzeme service of the Ventspils administration, while in his free time, witnessed how the driver of a Volkswagen Golf car causes a traffic accident and leaves the scene without stopping. The border guard immediately started chasing, a car fleeing about 50 kilometers from the Lithuanian border on the road was stopped and a driver who was under the influence of alcohol was stopped.
Officials of the Kurzeme Regional Office of the State Police were summoned to the scene, who, with the help of an alcohol test, found 2.95 per mille in the breath of a man born in 1987.
