On 3 October, the Cabinet of Ministers issued orders “On the transfer of State movable property to Ukraine free of charge”, which provide for the transfer of thirty State Police vehicles to the National Police of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the Task Force of the National Guard of Ukraine free of charge. In turn, a vehicle of the State Fire and Rescue Service is transferred free of charge to the City Council of Koriukivka, Chernihiv Region.
The Ministry of the Interior and the internal affairs services are following the current situation in Ukraine and are in contact with the Ukrainian government institutions. Having assessed the requests for assistance received, this transfer includes sixteen “Opel Combo VAN” vehicles with equipment, eight “Renault Master” vehicles with equipment, five “VW Caravelle” vehicles with equipment, one “VW Crafter” vehicle with equipment and fuel which has been filled into the vehicles, as well as one “Volvo F86” fire-fighting vehicle (tanker).
The preparation and transfer of the State Police vehicles will be organized by the State Police in cooperation with the Entrepreneurs for Peace Foundation, while the preparation and transfer of the State Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) vehicle to Ukraine and its transfer to the City Council of Koriukivka will be organized by the SFRS in cooperation with the association “Tavi draugi”.
The subordinate institutions of the Ministry of the Interior will continue to provide support to the Ukrainian internal affairs services and soldiers, according to their capabilities and needs.
