On 8 August this year, information was received from a company operating the rental of electricity customers at the Jurmala State Police station that customers had not returned two electrical charters within the specified deadline.
When checking this information, the police found that two men had turned to the company on the same day. . One of them has signed an agreement on the hiring of two electrical vehicles, but it is not a for the man. During the investigation, information was obtained that the lease contract was concluded by the presentation of an alien's passport.
On August 10, the employees of the electrical shipping facility identified the whereabouts of one of the men involved and notified the police. . Later, the officers at the Jurmala precinct found out the other man's whereabouts and detained him.
One of the detainees was born in 1990, and he had been seen before by the police for similar criminal offences, and he had been punished for theft in the past. . It will soon be decided on the application of the security vehicle – arrest – to this person.
The second man involved was born in 1993 and has not previously been punished.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated following the second paragraph of Article 177 of the Criminal Law, for fraud if committed by a group of persons following prior agreement. . The Law on such crimes provides for deprivation of liberty for a period of up to five years or temporary deprivation of liberty, or forced labour, or a fine for confiscating property or without confiscation of property.
During the search, the police have found both electrical casings and handed them over to the legitimate owners.
