In accordance with the decision of the President and the Chapter of the Order of 30 October 2020, 115 representatives of the society have been awarded the highest Latvian state awards. They also include four home affairs officials.

For special merits for the benefit of the State of Latvia, highly professionally, especially selflessly and courageously performing official duties, as well as operatively and efficiently making decisions in an unprecedented complex epidemiological and public health threat situation related to the spread of Covid-19 infection, awarded the Cross of Recognition and appointed Mārtiņš Baltmanis, Deputy Chief of the State Fire and Rescue Service of the Cross of Recognition, former head of the Interinstitutional Coordination Group, was awarded the Cross of Recognition and Kaspars Druvaskalns, Head of the Crisis Management Division of the State Fire and Rescue Service, was appointed Commander of the Cross of Recognition.
The highest Latvian state awards are given to people who have excellently served the Latvian state and people and whose selfless professional and social work and civic achievements have contributed to Latvia's growth path.
