Last day, during the period from 24 August of this year .06 .30 to 25 August 06.30, the National Fire and Rescue Service (VUGD) received 43 calls – 14 to fire-extinguishing, 20 to rescue jobs, while nine calls were deluded.
Tonight .02 .37 firefighters rushed to a call in Rīga, where a two-story building of 100 m2 was burning in the parking area. Before the arrival of VUGD, a man had evacuated from the building who had suffered and was handed over to the medical services. Come on. .05 .26 fire was eliminated.
During the last day, fire-fighters also rushed to calls where garbage , the roof of an unhandled building, in two cases food, a lightweight car, household items in the basement of a residential house, tires were burning.
At night .02 .19 VUGD received an invitation to the county of Alūksne, where two people were lost in the forest. Contact with the rescuers on the mobile phone and the sound of the tank was directed and people came out of the woods.
VUGD recalls that when you go into the woods, you should remember about safety and take a charged mobile phone with you so that you can call operational services on 112 if needed! If you realise that you will not be able to get out of the woods, call the rescuers and give them the most specific landmarks possible – where you entered the forest, how long you have stayed in the forest, what natural or man-made objects you have crossed or passed. This information will help the firefighters find you!
