On Friday, June 12, the State Border Guard held a meeting of the Co-operation Steering Group, in which the management of the State Border Guard, the State Police, the State Revenue Service, the Food and Veterinary Service and the State Environmental Service met.
During the meeting, the representatives of the institutions discussed the developments in the area of inter-institutional cooperation, confirmed an “analysis of the threat (risks) of the State border of the Republic of Latvia for 2019” and discussed the current trends in 2020 and other issues related to the security of the State border.
Meeting of the Co-operation Steering Group shall be organised on the basis of the Cabinet instruction No. of 5 May 2010. 5 “the arrangements for cooperation between national safety authorities” and its composition are determined in accordance with the five-party inter-regional agreement on cooperation on national border security issues of 21 April 2016.
