On 28 November, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted an Order "On Transfer of State Movable Property to Ukraine without Compensation", which provides that the Latvian State Border Guard Service will transfer an unmanned aerial vehicle and spare parts to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
In order to support our Ukrainian colleagues and facilitate the performance of the functions and tasks of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the Latvian State Border Guard Service has found an opportunity to provide the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine with unmanned aerial vehicle spare parts free of charge to ensure uninterrupted use of unmanned aerial vehicles. The spare parts are new and in excellent condition.
In addition, by assessing the material and technical base of the State Border Guard Aviation and Special Operations Department, the State Border Guard has found an opportunity to transfer one UAV with control electronics, integrated camera stabilisation platform and control software. Although the UAV is used, its technical condition is satisfactory.
The State Border Guard Service will ensure that the property is brought to Ukraine and handed over to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Last month, the State Fire and Rescue Service also donated a shipment of humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
The subordinate institutions of the Ministry of the Interior will continue to provide support to the Ukrainian internal affairs services and soldiers, according to their capabilities and needs.
