drons

The National Fire and Rescue Service (VUGD) increasingly receives public calls to the single emergency call number 112, requesting the lifting of trapped unmanned aircraft (drones) from trees, buildings or structures at a difficult height. Call applicants generally state that an unmanned aircraft can pose a threat to human health and life if it falls from altitude.

When arriving at the site of the event, the head of the VUGD rescue works often finds that dron, at altitude, does not pose any danger to people. . It is recalled that the main task of VUGD is to save people's lives. The involvement of resources in events where there is no danger to people undermines the operational capacity of the service. . For example, at a time when resources will be involved in lifting an unmanned aircraft from altitude, there may be a real need to save a man, but the service will not be able to provide assistance immediately because resources will not be available.

VUGD understands citizens' desire to recover their unmanned aircraft and therefore calls on drone users to comply with the requirements of the rules during flights. . Unmanned aircraft flights shall be governed by Cabinet Regulation No. 368 of 13 August 2019, Procedures for the Carriage of unmanned aircraft and other types of aircraft, issued in accordance with Article 47 of the Law on Aviation.

In order to avoid incidents involving unmanned aircraft and to ensure the safety of adjacent persons, flights should select locations as far away as possible from the trees, buildings, structures and building structures behind which unmanned aircraft could be snagged.

On the other hand, in cases where unmanned aircraft are trapped at a difficult height, we call for service providers (arborists or climbers) who could ensure the lifting of unmanned aircraft from height.

It is recalled that the single emergency call number 112 should be called in cases where there is a danger to life!
