VUGD glābšanas apmācības uz ūdens

On July 16 at 11.00 on Lucavsala Street, Riga, Daugava will take a practical session of the State Fire and Rescue Service (VUGD), part 2 of the Riga Region Administration (RRP) on water.

VUGD departments regularly reinforce the practice skills of carrying out rescue work. The activities of part 2 of the RRP will include the situation of the boat travelling by Daugava with holidaymakers. As a result of careless action, a man falls out of the boat and is unable to reach the shore. Firefighters rescuers carrying out a man's rescue are called to the scene of the accident.

The aim of these practical training is to test the skills of firefighters, to train and manage rescue works in the water community, and to remind citizens of safety through watercraft, given that this summer a number of tragic accidents have been directly linked to the use of watercraft.

VUGD apologises to the citizens for the burdens and potential worry caused by the movement of operational transport.

For the media: It will be possible to observe the training on-site by announcing their participation by July 16, 9.00, writing an email agrita.vitola@vugd.gov.lv or by calling to 27899657. There will be an opportunity to try how far you can throw away the lifebuoy.
