Minister for the Interior Maria Golubeva visited the country's eastern border on Tuesday, July 13. Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš, Chief of State Border Guard General Guntis Pujāts and State Secretary of the Ministry of Interior Dimitrijs Trofimovs also travelled to the eastern border. The visit was organised to familiarise themselves with the situation on the border and the work of border guards during a visit to the Opol border guarding department.
